How your day works
-
Arrive and get kitted out
We meet at the Fallbachhang, get to know each other and fit the snowboard, boots and helmet individually to you.
-
A little theory comes with it
What is frontside, what is backside? Do you ride regular or goofy? How do you stand up properly with a snowboard, and what is skating? Kept short, but you can't do without it.
-
How to fall safely
In the first warm-up exercises we show you how to fall safely and give you tips on how to behave on the mountain.
-
Braking takes practice
Traversing and gliding across the fall line, plus controlled braking and stopping. That way you can always get back down any slope.
This is what you can do by the end of the day
- You have practised gliding, braking and stopping — that is what the Beginner Course is about.
- You know how to fall properly and get back up.
- You know the basic terms: frontside, backside, regular or goofy.
- If you enjoy it, you extend to the full Basic Course on the day and ride your first turns in the afternoon.
Is this course right for you?
Yes, if …
- You have never, or only once or twice, stood on a snowboard.
- A whole day of Basic Course is too much for you — the Beginner Course is the first half of it.
- You enjoy learning together with others and like the breaks in between.
- You are a teenager or an adult and want to try snowboarding at your own pace first.
Probably not, if …
- You can already ride turns safely — then a private lesson suits you better.
- You want the complete basic training in one day — then book the full Basic Course straight away.
- You have a recent injury to your knee, shoulder or wrist.
- You need one-to-one coaching throughout — then take the private lesson.
„Habe den Kurs meinem Sohn (14) geschenkt. Er war mega happy. Toller Kurs mit super Lehrern. Er fährt jetzt Snowboard, hat die wichtigsten Basics gelernt. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen 👍👍👍👍👍“
