Snowboard lesson gift voucher for Oberhof: give the gift of learning to snowboard

A snowboard lesson is a gift you experience, not one that gathers dust in a cupboard. Looking for a snowboarding gift that actually gets used? With a gift voucher from Learn2Ride Snowboard School, the lucky recipient learns to snowboard at the Fallbachhang in Oberhof, Thuringia – in small groups, to DSLV guidelines, and with qualified coaches. The school has been teaching in Oberhof, in the Thuringian Forest, since 2010.

No previous experience is needed. The course starts from zero: stance, standing up, first glides on the gentle slope and the magic carpet. After the beginner course, most riders can turn and brake under control on their own.

Course voucher or value voucher?

Course voucher: a specific snowboard course

You choose the course, and the recipient chooses the date later. On offer:

A course voucher covers one to four people. You can add rental equipment as part of the gift too, if you like.

Value voucher: an amount of your choice

You set the amount, and the recipient picks the course and date themselves. The value voucher also works for the Mini Boarder course for children from age 3, and can cover the rental equipment fee too.

Who is the voucher suitable for?

For anyone who wants to learn to snowboard – children, teenagers and adults. The beginner course is for ages 8 and up, the Mini Boarder course from age 3, and the private lesson has no minimum age. There's no upper limit either: if you're fit enough for a day in the snow, you can learn to snowboard.

A little nervousness before the first go is completely normal and no obstacle at all. Anyone feeling especially unsure is in good hands with a private lesson. Lessons are taught in German and, on request, in English.

How the voucher arrives – and how it's redeemed

The voucher arrives as a PDF by email once payment clears. You can print it out or forward it straight away. We don't send vouchers by post.

Redeeming it is done online: the recipient enters their code at Redeem voucher, picks a free date and books. The voucher is valid until 31 December of the third year after purchase – plenty of time for several winters.

The season in Oberhof runs from November to March. Beginner courses run at weekends, every day in February, and on many additional days during the Christmas and winter school holidays. The private lesson and Mini Boarder course can be booked on any day of the season.

A course voucher costs the same as the course itself, per person: Beginner level GS1 74 €, Beginner level GS2 84 €, Beginner course GS1 + GS2 139 €, Private lesson 229 €. A value voucher starts from 25 € – you choose the amount yourself.

Not automatically, but you can add it to a course voucher: Helmet, Board + Bindings, Boots for 30 € per person. A value voucher can cover the rental fee when it's redeemed. If you've got your own kit, you don't need any of this.
The voucher simply stays valid. If a booked course is cancelled because the slope isn't rideable, it's rescheduled or refunded free of charge – the school will get in touch on its own.
