For beginners of every age who want a full day in a group – children from 8, teenagers and adults. Beyond riding safe turns, the aim is to teach everyone how to behave on the mountain and to spark a lasting love of snowboarding.

The roughly 6 hours include a lunch break of about 45 minutes. Between the Beginner Course in the morning and the follow-up part in the afternoon you recharge your batteries: eat, drink, warm up. Actual lesson time is 2 × 2.5 hours.

Arrive & get kitted out
We meet at the Fallbachhang, get to know each other and you get all the information about the day. We fit the snowboard, boots and helmet individually to you.

Falling safely and first steps
During the warm-up we show you how to fall safely, the right stance and how to get back up — playfully and without pressure.

Lunch break: about 45 minutes to recharge
After the Beginner Course in the morning you take a break of about 45 minutes right at the slope: eat, drink, warm up. The break is part of the roughly 6 hours – then the follow-up part starts with fresh energy. Actual lesson time: 2 × 2.5 hours.

Braking and traversing
Gliding across the fall line, braking under control, stopping safely. That way you can always get back down any slope.

Turns and riding freely
Shifting your weight and using your edges: you link your first turns and ride down the slope on your own — again and again.

- You know how to behave on the mountain and the slope rules.

Frequently asked questions about this course
Yes. Our snowboard lessons are for people of every age – adults very much included. Many people only learn to snowboard as adults, on their own, with friends or together with their children. The Beginner Course, the Basic Course and the private lesson are for ages 8 and up, with no upper age limit.
Yes. Snowboarding is technique, not strength. Our coaches build up the day so that you improve step by step. Breaks are very much part of it.
The course starts with how to fall safely — before you even pick up speed. We practise on a gentle slope and only step things up once you feel confident. A helmet comes with the rental equipment.
Warm, waterproof clothing, gloves and ski goggles or sunglasses. You can add a board, boots and helmet when you book.
If the course cannot go ahead from our side, you get a replacement date or your money back. You yourself can cancel free of charge until 5 pm the day before the course.
No. Lift fees at the Fallbachhang are included in the price for the duration of the course.
Good to know
For beginners, group lessons are the best way to get to know snowboarding: because everyone takes their turn, there is none of the constant effort of a private lesson - and you spend the breaks watching the others and picking things up.
