How your day works
-
Arrival and where you stand
We meet at the Fallbachhang. The first exercises show how well gliding, braking and stopping from GS 1 have stuck.
-
A solid stance is half the battle
Before the first turn comes stance and weight shifting — and how the board responds to them.
-
On the edge instead of flat
Using your frontside and backside edges deliberately instead of skidding sideways. That is the step that turns sliding into riding.
-
Right turn – brake – left turn
Linking turns to both sides with controlled braking in between. We practise this again and again on the slope until the end of the course.
This is what you can do by the end of the day
- You have practised shifting your weight and riding on your edge.
- You have linked turns to both sides and braked in between.
- Together with GS 1, you have completed the basic training.
- Once you have passed GS 2, you receive a certificate for successfully completing the beginner course.
Is this course right for you?
Yes, if …
- You have done Beginner Level GS 1 with us and have the proof of it.
- You want to complete your basic training instead of stopping at sliding.
- You enjoy learning together with others and like the breaks in between.
- Half a day fits your plans better than a whole one.
Probably not, if …
- You have never stood on a snowboard — start with Beginner Level GS 1.
- You did GS 1 elsewhere: GS 2 with us is only open to those with proof of our GS 1.
- You have a recent injury to your knee, shoulder or wrist.
- You need one-to-one coaching throughout — then take the private lesson.
„Habe den Kurs meinem Sohn (14) geschenkt. Er war mega happy. Toller Kurs mit super Lehrern. Er fährt jetzt Snowboard, hat die wichtigsten Basics gelernt. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen 👍👍👍👍👍“
